Cloze Exercises for the dialogue in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Cloze reading exercises make the student focus on the text more, and understand it more to fill in the correct missing words. All answers are highlighted in CAPITALS on the following page. Can be used as, classwork, homework and studying/revising at home.
Ideas for play:-
Cut out the cards, mix them and put them in a pile. Each student takes turns to take a card. If they make a mistake place the card to the bottom of the pile.
Deal 5, 6 or 7 cards to each student: then when it is the student’s turn they can choose to use any card in their hand. If they make a mistake they keep the card. If not they choose a new card from the remaining cards.
A student traps a ghost if they colour the last hexagon to surround the ghost. The winner is the one that traps most ghosts.
