Powerpoint on Wassily Kandinsky - looking at his development with colour emotion theory, followed by a student task for them to create their own interpretations of colour. Artist research and research links to Synesthesia- a condition which Wassily Kandinsky is believed to have had due to his paintings inspired by music - and his quotes on which he could ‘see colours’ when he listens to sounds or music. The main task is for students to complete a Kandinsky inspired artwork based on their current feelings - this is all about self expression and how colour and shape can be used to display emotions.
