✮ Christmas - I’d rather game for primary and secondary ✮ This resource includes two sets of 35 I’d rather cards. You get a total of 70 cards for the price of one set. One set is for primary and the other set is for secondary. A few of the cards are the same as they can appeal to different age groups. You may want to mix them all up and use all of the cards as a big set for secondary (taking out the doubles). These sets of cards will strike up some interesting conversations, and they can be used year after year. These cards are a fun way to get students talking to each other during the holidays, and they’re great fun at a Christmas party . Merry Christmas!!

Primary English Speaking Prompts: 100 Question Cards for Discussion Use this set of primary English speaking prompt cards to get even your most timid students talking to each other in English. This no prep activity is perfect for small groups or centers. You can also use one card per page version to project and make it a whole class activity. These speaking cards are perfect for primary English. You can easily use these cards as a review with ESL students at any level also. Included: 100 speaking prompt cards There are many ways you can use this set of 100 speaking cards: ➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes & attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions. ➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation buddy. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box. ➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out their answers. ➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer. ➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards. ➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer the question. Scattergories is the perfect classroom group game! You can play this game with students of literally any age or level. All words are in English. Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them! 12 games are included with different categories! 20 Questions St. Patrick’s Day Speaking Game Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and do a whole class activity. This game includes 40 words. Some of the words may be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word. Are you……. … a person? … an animal? … a mineral? … a place? … food? … a plant? … an object? The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: YES - NO - SOMETIMES - RARELY - GENERALLY - MAYBE - IT DEPENDS - PROBABLY Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it. These cut and paste worksheets will help your primary students and beginner ESL students learn the days of the week and the months. How to use these worksheets: One worksheet is included for the days of the week and the 12 months are on two sheets. Have your students cut off the bottom part of the worksheet where indicated with scissors. Then have them cut out the days and months. Now they’re ready to paste the days and months in the right spot on the paper. They should put the days and months in chronological order. Next to each numbered space there are lines where students write out the days and months to help with spelling.
