Show your students sample questions in the target language. Some examples: Is it a man / woman? Is it someone who is still living today? Is it an actor / singer? Is this person older than 40? Does / Did this person live in America / Europe / Asia / etc? The student who has chosen the secret person can answer using the following responses: YES - NO - SOMETIMES - RARELY - GENERALLY - MAYBE - IT DEPENDS - PROBABLY Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret person describe that person to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret person, other students listen to the description and guess who it is. GCSE FRENCH: Passé Composé of Regular French Verbs Lesson - Verbes Réguliers

(0)
Perfect idea for a "flipped classroom": Send this activity home with your students as homework the night before you want to start working on the passé composé. They'll be ready to start using it the next day, and you can use your precious class time more efficiently. This lesson is an introduction to the simple past tense (le passé composé). It includes an explanation of when to use the P.C., a review of "avoir" and regular -er, -ir, and -re verbs in the present tense + formation of past participles and how to form the passé composé. There are links to two of my videos on YouTube (one for the p.c. of regular verbs and one for irregular verbs, but both videos are only for verbs that use "avoir" as helping verb).

GCSE FRENCH: French End of the Year Reflection Questions - French AP or French 4

(0)
It is the end of the year and your French AP students have already taken their test, or your French 4 seniors have practically checked out. What can you do with them that will keep them speaking French during those last days of the school year? Students love talking to each other, and especially at the end of senior year there is a lot to reflect upon. This is a set of 15 reflection questions that you can print, laminate, punch holes in and cut out before hooking the complete set together on a ring. You'll be able to use these reflection questions for years to come. In the upper left corner of each card there is a circle which indicates where you should punch the hole so that your set of cards comes out nice and neat. I have my students work with partners or in small groups to answer the questions orally. At the end of the year and after testing I don't require them to write any answers down on paper, but of course it is up to you. If you wanted to do something kind of fun with the cards you could alternatively play a game of SCOOT and have students write out their answers. The grammar used in these reflection questions is high level and will keep them on their toes!
