❖ Advanced French Grammar: 50 Pronoun Challenge Cards ❖ These 50 cards will provide your advanced French students a good challenge while practicing and reviewing pronouns. Many resources only include basic pronouns and don’t offer enough of a challenge. This is why I’ve created this set of cards. Each card includes instructions, a sentence to restate or rewrite using pronouns where indicated, a list of the types of pronouns students can choose from, and the answer is located upside down at the bottom of each card. This will allow students an opportunity to either work individually or in small groups and check their work as they go. Each card is numbered in case you decide to play a game and need that, but otherwise there is no order in which the cards must be used. I’ve laminated my set so that I can pull them out time and again for a quick pronoun review. French verb FALLOIR - Present tense with indirect object pronouns This French lesson is for intermediate learners who have learned IL FAUT and INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS. It is meant to show the many ways to use the verb FALLOIR - NEED without using the subjunctive. Students will learn the different meanings this verb can have and how to easily start speaking more like a French person in terms of expressing what they need (instead of using AVOIR BESOIN DE and DEVOIR). French Imperfect Tense Verb Race Game Verb Race is a fun and very exciting way to practice imperfect conjugations. Your students are going to love this set of 75 French verbs to use in the fast moving verb race game. This set includes 75 common -ER, -IR and -RE verbs. Classic verb race involves dividing the class into teams and one person from each team goes up to the board to conjugate faster than everyone else. I’ve included full instructions, tips and rules with this resource. Verb Race has always been a huge favorite in my classroom. In classic Verb Race it is usually the teacher who moderates the game, but in the instructions I’ll explain in great detail how you can play a student led game so that even your weakest students can participate and learn a ton. This is a set of 30 French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense task cards + powerpoint that you can use in a number of ways with your students. Each card has a sentence written in the futur simple and your students must transform the sentence to the futur antérieur. This is a nice cooperative speaking activity or if you choose you can use the task cards as a written assignment. A student response sheet is included if you decide to use the cards this way. I'm including a powerpoint version of the cards should you want to project them and have the whole class work together. There's a nice mixture of common regular and irregular verbs to work with. There are verbs using both avoir and être as helping verb as well as a few reflexives (even two that don't require making agreement on the past participle as a challenge).
