GCSE FRENCH: 100 French regular verbs passé composé drill for conjugation practice

Practice is what it takes when learning verb conjugations. This audio recorded drill will help students learn regular French -ER, -IR and -RE verbs in the passé composé. This is a verb drill of 100 common regular French verbs that you can use either in the classroom or language lab. I've included five great ways for you to use this drill. The audio recording you will download will be great for listening comprehension and oral production, written exercises, paired work and even a cooperative learning group writing game. Example: FINIR - TO FINISH - JE - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - J'AI FINI ATTENDRE - TO WAIT - TU - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - TU AS ATTENDU VENDRE - TO SELL - IL - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - IL A VENDU ABOLIR - TO ABOLISH - NOUS - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - NOUS AVONS ABOLI MANGER - TO EAT - VOUS - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - VOUS AVEZ MANGÉ RÉUSSIR - TO SUCCEED - ILS - 5 seconds to say or write answer before recorded response - ILS ONT RÉUSSI During the recording the verbs are not numbered so that you can easily choose a group of 10 or 15 at any point during the exercise to use as bell ringer reviews or to get your students in French mode as they enter the classroom. Use this drill at any time during the year as an excellent review. Use it with upper level students who sometimes need to revise the basics or provide a copy to struggling students who can use it as review while riding on the bus or in the car. Included: 17 minute mp3 audio recording of 100 regular French verbs in the passé composé. Answer sheet Student response sheet 5 effective ways to use this verb drill 1. GCSE FRENCH: French Verb Race Game IMPERATIVE TENSE

(0)
VERB RACE is a fun and very exciting way to practice IMPERATIVE TENSE conjugations. Your students are going to love this set of 75 French verbs to use in the fast moving VERB RACE GAME. This set includes 75 common -ER, -IR and -RE verbs as well as the verbs AVOIR, ÊTRE, VOULOIR and SAVOIR. Classic verb race involves dividing the class into teams and one person from each team goes up to the board to conjugate faster than everyone else. I've included full instructions, tips and rules with this resource. VERB RACE has always been a huge favorite in my classroom. In classic VERB RACE it is usually the teacher who moderates the game, but in the instructions I'll explain in great detail how you can play a student led game so that even your weakest students can participate and learn a ton. I'm including a powerpoint version of the game WITHOUT ANSWERS and student response sheets should you want to project the game and play as a class or in small groups without moving out of desks and up to the board. Also with this resource you'll receive 75 task cards without responses (answer key included). You can use these cards in STATIONS, in a game of SCOOT or in classic BOARD GAMES. I recommend printing out the cards, laminating them if possible, cutting them out, punching holes in the space provided and hooking them together with a ring for years of NO PREP usage and verb conjugation review. Here's exactly what you get: 75 calling cards with answers - Black and white and color versions provided 75 numbered task cards without answers - Black and white and color versions provided Powerpoint version of 75 cards without answers How to play and other ways to use the cards Student response sheet Answer key

French partitive articles and other forms of DE complete lesson - DE LA - DE L’ - DU - DES - DE - D’ We all know how difficult it can be for students to know when to use the correct form of DE when they don’t know all of the rules and when they’ve not had enough practice. This is a complete lesson plan that you can even use on a day when you can’t be at school and you have a sub who isn’t a French teacher. This resource includes a 30 minute video lesson. There is a one page printable study guide with rules and examples to accompany the video lesson, and the best part is the set of 100 numbered practice cards and answer key that will give your students tons of opportunities to practice. This lesson focuses on using DE or D’ before adjectives that come before the noun, the partitive with masculine, feminine, singular, and plural nouns, using DE or D’ after different forms of negation, using DE after certain verbs when followed by an infinitive, and using DE or D’ with expressions of quantity, and I’ve included a few tricky ones which do not use DE when referring to specific nouns, and that’s mentioned in the video lesson. I’ve included a set of 100 printable cards that you can cut out, and if you prefer a paperless version I’ve also included a PDF with only one card per page to project as a whole class activity or for students to use on tablets or computers.
