This version of Connect 4 has more squares and so can accommodate 2 or 3 players. Students must correctly conjugate the verb to win the square. The goal is to get 4 squares in a row four times. Vocabulary included: das Auto waschen, das Bad putzen, das Bett machen, das Geschirr spülen, den Hund ausführen,den Rasen mähen, den Tisch decken, die Fenster putzen, die Wäsche waschen, einkaufen, Essen kochen, fegen, mein Zimmer aufräumen, Papierkorb leeren, Staub saugen.

The object of the game is to collect a full family - 6 cards. The player with the most families at the end is the winner. Player 1 asks a player of his/her choice for a card belonging to a specific family; in this game each family is a different verb. In order to make the request, the player must already have at least 1 card belonging to that family. “Dans la famille (parler), je cherche (specific card).” If that player has the card, he/she hands it over. Player 1 continues asking for cards until he/she does not get what is requested. Player 2 then takes his/her turn. Once a family is collected, it is laid on the table in front of that player.

Print on cardstock and laminate to last for years to come. Make 1 game board for every 2-3 students. You will need 2 dice for each game board. You also need bingo chips to mark squares. Or, if laminated, students can use a dry erase marker to initial a square. Students take turns rolling the dice to determine which square. Students must correctly identify the picture in the square to win it. Student with most squares at the end of time wins the game OR student who gets 6 in a row (“bingo”) wins.

Partner activity. Each partner has half of the information. Partners converse in Spanish in order to complete their charts. Information includes mes, tiempo, actividad, cosa necesaria.

This is the same game as my Notebook game. Game board has a path of 24 spaces. Class is divided into teams that take turns rolling the die and moving along the path. There are 3 shortcuts ahead and 3 traps sending you backwards. To stay on a space, student must correctly identify the picture or make a sentence about it (who teaches it, jobs that use it, like/dislike, etc). There are pictures only, so this may be used with any language.

All are set up in column format, given infinitives and subjects. All quizzes have regular verbs + aller, avoir, être and faire. #3 also has vouloir, venir, voir and savoir. #4 also has venir. #5 also has venir, vouloir and voir.
