I have taught all levels from kindergarten to adult continuing education. I love languages and am constantly working on improving and adding to them. I believe that if students have fun, they will learn faster and remember longer. I try to have students speak in the target language as much as possible during the limited time that they are in class.

This is a partner activity. Students take turns guessing squares in order to find the opponent’s ships. In order to guess a square, the student must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (barn and horse). Once a square is guessed, the opponent replies with hit, miss or sunk. Winner is the first student to find and sink all 5 of his opponent’s ships. Pictures represent farm animals and vocabulary: la vache, la poule, le cochon, la chèvre, le cheval, le lapin, le canard, le mouton, le coq, l’âne, la grange, le tracteur, le champ, le fermier, la prairie, le village, la ferme, l’arbre, la fermière, le paysage. Vocabulary corresponds to Bien Dit 2 chapter 6, but may be used with any text.
