Worksheet has notes comparing French sentences with manquer à and plaire à to English sentences. There are then 17 sentences that students need to transform using manquer or plaire. Made to accompany Bien Dit 3 chapter 4, but may be used with any advanced grammar class.

This is a partner activity. Students take turns guessing squares in order to find the opponent’s ships. In order to guess a square, the student must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (barn and horse). Once a square is guessed, the opponent replies with hit, miss or sunk. Winner is the first student to find and sink all 5 of his opponent’s ships. Connect 4 game has the names of months in the left column and numbers across the top. To win a square, the student must identify it by its coordinates (C’est le sept mai). Object of the game is to win 4 squares in a row. Second version with numbers only.
