The object of the game is to collect a full family - 6 cards. The player with the most families at the end is the winner.
Player 1 asks a player of his/her choice for a card belonging to a specific family; in this game each family is a different verb. In order to make the request, the player must already have at least 1 card belonging to that family. “En la familia (buscar), busco (specific card).” If that player has the card, he/she hands it over. Player 1 continues asking for cards until he/she does not get what is requested. Player 2 then takes his/her turn. Once a family is collected, it is laid on the table in front of that player.
These verbs aren’t quite regular, but they aren’t considered irregular. Includes: buscar, llegar, empezar, creer, leer, oír, ver.
Second version has only 5 cards per family - no vosotros.
Students interview 3 classmates and record their answers. Questions are whether they like 13 different activities. Example: Ti piace andare al cinema? Sì, mi piace andare al cinema. Non mi piace andare al cinema. 2 copies on same page to save on xeroxing. All are -ARE verbs.
Partner speaking activity. Each partner has a chart with half of the information missing; students converse in French using the futur tense to complete their charts. Information includes name, city and country being visited, activity while on the train, departure and arrival times.
