Year 6 Grammar Starter Activities
6 weeks of grammar activities which go with the Schofield and Sims workbook -Grammar 6.
There are small activities for 5-10 minute grammar starter or filler activities which tie into each module for the first 6 weeks of schofield and sims.
If you don’t have the book, there are many activities that are beneficial. Topics covered:

Year 6 grammar exercises - tenses
This resource has got lots of activities on the different tenses they need to know in year 6. It is includes SATs questions along with other exercises.
Growth mindset parent/teacher CPD
This resource is designed to be used for parents to introduce them to growth mindset. It can also be used to introduce growth mindset to teachers and other school staff. The CPD lasts 1 hour in total.
Tried and tested with parents and staff with great success!

New Maths Guidance Year 6 Assessments
I have taken all of the example assessments from the new maths guidance for Year 6 and made them into end of unit assessments.
There are 12 units in total all linking to the skills from the original document.

Transition to Secondary School Resource Pack
Here is a resource to use with year 6 pupils when thinking about transition to year 7. The lessons focus on the following topics:
Subjects
Timetables
Following a timetable
Getting lost
Making friends
Clubs and opportunities
Planner organisation
After school timetable
managing your time.
Lesson 1 includes:
A detailed overview of what they might cover in year 7 based on the KS3 curriculum. Each subject has an overview of what they might learn.
A worksheet for the children to complete about the subjects they will cover.
An example of a one week secondary school timetable and a quiz for the children to complete based on the timetable - e.g. where is this subject taught? Do you have the same teacher for English every lesson? etc
An example of a two week secondary school timetable and quiz for the children to complete based on the timetable - e.g. why might you need a two week timetable? How many times over the two weeks do you have chemistry?
Both timetables are included within the PowerPoint and can be easily printed off for the children.
Lesson 2 and 3 includes:
Powerpoint for two lessons, 34 slides in length covering the topic of homework and organisation. It includes planner examples, timetables and all of the resources they need to bring to their secondary school.
Planner example pages of good and bad planners and how to organise your workload.
Blank after school timetable template for the children to use next year.
Blank ‘What to take to secondary school’ template for the children to use next year (resource H).
Resource sheet A - matching activity of the different formats of homework they will receive.
Resource sheet B - Comparing the two planner examples activity using an example of a good and a bad planner.
Resource C and D - Using a list of tasks given by ‘teachers’ (resource D) the children have to fill in their blank planner (resource C) with the information as if they were being set the homework at school.
Resource E - elicit the children’s ideas on what they think they might need to bring to school.
Resource F, G and H - the children will be using an example timetable of a school day (resource F) and an example after school timetable (resource G) to create a resources list for each school day using the ‘what I need every day’ sheet (resource H).

Deforestation Lesson Pack KS2
This lesson is an investigation into the causes of deforestation. It is an activity where children are learning to read information and record it in their own words. This activity can be used in the classroom where the different causes are posted around the room and the children have to investigate. It can also be used as a distance learning tool. It also includes a bonus grammar activity on plurals as a grammar warm up.

KS1 and KS2 e-safety rules
This resource includes KS1 esafety rules and KS2 eafety rules. These are great posters to display around the school and can be blown up to A3 size as well.
Esafety is so important to teach children and with these simple rules they can stay safe online!

Victorian Artwork Unit of Work
This is 4 lessons worth of lessons for a Victorian artwork unit, suitable for KS2.
The Storytellers - Year 6 Show
This is a show written by myself for year 6. It has also got chorus numbers for KS2. The storytellers take you through a variety of different stories to learn about books. There are some great songs incorporated in the show! The stories included are: Matilda, Oliver, the Wind in the Willows, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, the Wizard of Oz and the BFG. There are enough parts for 32 children to have 2 parts each. The script is included along with the songs for KS2 and the props and costumes list.
It is priced at this price point due to the amount of work going into the script. It took me 2 months to make and perfect. It is a really high quality show, we performed it last year as a class and it was really well recieved.
It is saved as a word document so you are able to edit it!
