An introduction lesson to War of the Worlds. Great for both KS3 and KS4 as you can adapt the lesson to fit the needs of your pupils. The lesson focuses on the pupils making predictions based around certain images included on the powerpoint. These images link to the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds. Pupils then listen to the radio broadcast to see for themselves and answer some empathic questions based around the broadcast.

Exam question on relationships with extract included, along with a high level, colour coded response with a worksheet for the pupils to fill in as well. Can easily be adapted to suit lower ability through adapting my response.

A lesson focusing on our first impressions of Capulet and Tybalt. Pupils had empathy towards Juliet and her situation, read the script and figured out how they felt towards Capulet and Paris before looking at some context. Final task focused on creativity of modernising the script and seeing whether this changed things.
