A lesson focusing on context for A Christmas Carol (Victorian Era). My class were given very specific facts and asked to link to as many key scenes as possible, along with finding key quotations. Worked really well and helped them to remember to link to context for the exam without being overwhelmed by too much information.

An analysis lesson focusing on the infamous balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet. Group work stations analysing: 1) Light references 2) Juliet's confidence/naivety 3) Religious imagery 4) Foreshadowing Worked very well with a high ability year 9 class and the feedback from each station is on the PowerPoint as well to make it incredibly easy to follow, adapt and edit.

A lesson which can easily be adapted for both KS3 and KS4. A range of story openings included which then allows pupils to see that there are several ways in which to begin a story in a more interesting way. Pupils are then tasked with creating their own opening using a ideas sheet included as well. Very simple and easy to follow.

Aimed for WJEC/EDUQAS GCSE Lesson looks at how to write a successful Section B response to the question “How is violence presented at various moments in the play Macbeth”. Plan included which covers beginning to end of Macbeth, example introduction and example paragraph. All very well structured to help pupils with their writing.
