Great lesson to introduce pupils to French geography (towns, cities, mountains, rivers and seas) using key french vocab (preposition, weather, directions). Can be used to introduce the topic of Environment at KS3 level.

a KS4 lesson about the topic of home and town. This has a photocard for starter to practice speaking, a text with blank to fill in (listening task) and a study time with the text. Differentiated plenary.
Introduction to the cinema. Starter : recap on present and future using the holiday topic (prior knowledge) + new vocab on film genre and opinions / reasons, Plenary: put words in the right order to form sentences and write their own.

Plenary : angry birds translation game. I put pupils in 6 teams of 5, they need to smash the wall by getting the translation right and they then pick a number on the wall and behind it are points (it could be +2, +5 or even -1). Engagement 100%
