Source 1 34 page workbook Key questions on Chapter 1 to Chapter 12 Extension activity Stretch and Challenge What will this comprehension do for your students? *As an English teacher I find that reading Lord of the Flies can be challenging for my lower ability groups so I wanted to create a workbook to help students understand what they have read. * *These questions I have created to go in this workbook is to make students think about the main ideas and details, making sure they really get the point of the text, themes, characters, language used and structure. *I have found that the questions will also help students to remember what they have read by getting them to focus on key parts and think about them more deeply. In addition, this practice builds their vocabulary and helps them learn how to explain our thoughts clearly. I have also added in an extension activity for those who work faster or it could be used as homework.
