I previously taught in an SEMH secondary school and delivered a primary based model of education to years 7, 8 and 9. My students had a range of special educational needs and learn from a variety of different learning styles, therefore my resources match all VAK learning styles. My resources range from English, Maths, Science, Geography, History and PSHE.

Teaching a Christmas Carol to year 8 SEN students, my students learn visually. Therefore I created worksheets that enabled students to create their own characterisation of each character through the use of quotations.
Each drawing must be annotated with quotations from the text which is in the supporting box at the bottom of each sheet. I have given an example sheet to show learners.
I created higher and lower level sheets to further support my lower level learners.
Graded as an OUTSTANDING lesson by OFSTED in May 2016, I created this lesson for my year 8 SEMH students who learn through kinaesthetic and auditory ways of learning.
In this lesson students watch 2 films adaptions (5 min clips) of Romeo and Juliet. They then are grouped into 4 groups and move in a carousel activity around the room answering leveled questions on tables. Followed by class discussion. This enables students to understand the prologue, before reading it, which they can then do for homework.
Includes a detailed lesson plan that I gave the inspector on the day, with differentiation, cross curricular links, SMSC and teachers notes.
I created these worksheets for my year 9 SEN students who were struggling to understand a Christmas Carol. Stave by Stave the students can answers to show their understanding of the text.
I initially created this for homework, and for students with poor attendance as it can be completed at home, then in school they can self assess using the answer sheet.
Enables students to gain practice in pulling out quotes. Can be used for revision purposes.
Created for my year 9 SEMH students to ensure that they use all forms of punctuation in their writing. Come with a self evaluation, and can be teacher assessed too.
65 PP slides, with 5 round, animated with answers. Made for year 9 SEMH students, suitable for KS3 and KS4 students. A fun quiz testing knowledge, and can also inform planning for next term. Animated answers on slides for peer and self assessment. 5 rounds consisting of:
Round One - Grammar
Round Two - Literary Devices
Round Three - Famous Books
Round Four - Famous Authors
Round Five - Famous Poets
Useful settling activities, starters or homework activities.
