A revision game for GCSE Combined Science Trilogy and GCSE Biology created for the AQA specification, but will be useful for other specifications as well. Pupils answer 64 unique questions, using dice to choose the questions they answer. Pupils work in pairs, with their partners answers on the back of their sheet so they can peer assess through the game. Full instructions provided in the documents.

A lesson focusing on calculations for kinetic energy and GPE used as a revision lesson. Lesson has outcomes, a starter quiz (can be adapted to match your own prior lesson if you wish), definitions for GPE and KE, opportunity to model calculations to pupils (focusing on working out velocity using the KE formula), questions for pupils to practice on and exam questions to practice in context. The lesson also give opportunity to practice using the KE and GPE formula and the idea of conservation of energy. There is an exam question on the ppt to model the method, and a harder exam question where pupils can apply this themselves.

Learning Outcomes: Describe the different types of wave Calculate the properties of waves Explain how to use a ripple tank to investigate the properties of waves The lesson includes: learning outcomes and keywords a quick starter/settler focusing on some maths skills used physics (this can be edited to be a review of prior learning should you wish) a recap of the difference between the types of waves followed by exam questions with ms for pupils to self or peer assess The formula for wave speed, frequency and wave length with some examples for you to model to the class and then three questions taking from past papers for pupils to practice with. Answers provided. Revision of the ripple tank investigation (for best results demonstrate the actual use of a ripple tank) followed by a 6 mark question with mark scheme relating to the investigation

This will give each pupil a set of questions and a set of answers to their partners questions on the back. Requires a die (obviously not provided). In pairs: - Pupil A rolls the die to choose a number along the top. Roll a second time to choose a number along the side. - Pupil A answers the question in that box and pupil B checks the answer on their sheet. If correct cross it off - Repeat for pupil B - Repeat until one pupil has a line, row or diagonal of 6 - Reroll if the same question is selected
