This is a lesson designed to go alongside Studio 1 4.2 Au parc d’attractions.
It is a board game lesson. You need dice, counters and a print out of the board game from the PowerPoint.
It contains a starter task, the game, a writing task and an extension task idea.
Enjoy!
These resources are designed to be used over two lessons. The PowerPoint starts with a simple greetings routine that can be used at the start of any lesson, then introduces school subjects and finally moves on to giving simple opinions.
Once purchased, simply delete the word ‘PREVIEW’ from the word documemts.
An introduction to future plans concerning lifestyle. This lesson links well with Studio 3 Module 3.
Slide 3 can be printed and used as a worksheet. Mini whiteboards are useful for the activity with this resource. My resource Future Plans - Education’ is a great follow on to this lesson and is a very similar format.
This is a lesson designed to introduce/reinforce the past perfect tense. It incorporates several pair work tasks with lots of interaction and instant feedback /AFL. I created this for an observation lesson and have used it many times since.
The resource contains a full lesson plan, PowerPoint presentation, a starter task, a worksheet, a help sheet and a card sort activity that you will need to print and cut up. It also helps if you have mini whiteboards for the word grid activity.
Once purchased, simply delete ‘PREVIEW’ from the Word documents
This is a PowerPoint containing vocabulary match up starter activities for each unit in Studio 2 Module 1.
I have included key vocabulary for each unit. If you don’t use Studio these will still be useful as I’ve labelled the topic as well as the Unit title.
Each topic contains a match-up slide, an answer slide and a vocabulary test.
Use the Hyperlinks in the slide column to get to the section easily.
I use these at the beginning of every unit, it’s a great settling activity and also forms the basis of homework each week.
French display of common verbs in three tenses. Simply print, cut out and display (see photo)
This resource is also part of a bundle - ideal for NQTs needing to decorate a classroom.
MFL Classroom Display: Why Learn Languages?
Help encourage Language uptake at GCSE with this display.
This display is non language specific and could be used to encourage all language learning.
Fully editable should you wish to add/amend anything.
Print slides on A4 and cut out.
Back your board with blue paper to give the effect of sky.
This display contains a banner and several airport signs in French and English.
Simply print the PPT as single slides on A4 or A3.
It would also work well with the unit of work I have made on air travel. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/air-travel-in-flight-announcements-11703036
Easy to edit, add to or change to another language.
Enjoy!
I created these resources to try to engage a more challenging group who weren’t opting for French at GCSE. I used it as a follow to Module 4 in Studio 3 and as an End of year project. The class completed the tasks then worked in groups to create their own cabin crew style presentations / videos - they loved it and so did I :-)
This is a resource to accompany Dynamo 2 Qu’est-ce que tu as fait (au parc d’attractions)
It contains:

**French Open Evening Resources **
**Make your own French Passport **
Set up a passport making station in your classroom with the sign. You will need a few student helpers, pens/pencils, the instruction sheet and plenty of copies of the passport template, ready folded into a little book. You might want a tape measure too as not many know how tall they are.
Once they have finished, you or your student helpers can stamp their new passport (if you have a stamp)
**Make your own French Weather Vane **
Set up a Weather Vane making station in your classroom with the sign. You will need a few student helpers, pens/pencils, brass fasteners, the instruction sheet and plenty of copies of the weather vane template and cut out arrows. Student helpers help your visitors to copy the correct French phrase onto their weather vane. They can also help them to assemble it with the brass fastener and arrow in the middle.
This is a display to help pupils with the photocard element of the new GCSE. It can be used with all year groups to help increase fluency. The language is fairly simple but can be edited if you wish to adapt or add any vocabulary.
It can either be an Instagram or Snapchat style display (or neither)
Both options are included and you can see an example of the first slide of the PowerPoint.
*The PPT ‘Photocard Display 2’ might be best printed on A3
This display also works well along side the display on French speaking countries as it contains lots of photos that could be described. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12569383
I hope this saves you some time and helps to brighten up your classroom.
Display: Interactive French Calendar (les jours, les dates, les mois, les saisons, le temps)
Use this display each day to show the day, date, month, season and weather.
This is ideal for a primary or secondary classroom.
Move the green boxes and arrows to high-light the appropriate word/number/image each day. It’s a good idea to laminate the green boxes and arrows so that that last longer if they are being moved each day.
Pupils really enjoy being in charge of changing the display - they also enjoy reminding me when I’ve forgotten :-)
