I use this set of resources with Year 8 when introducing Elizabeth I. The students really enjoy these lessons as they have been designed to be quite creative. There are also SEN alternatives within the resources and Power Points for most lessons.

I use these resources with Year 8 when teaching about Edward VI. The first lesson is about Edward, who he was and whether he was a good/ bad king. The second lesson is about who should take the throne after Edward- Lady Jane Grey or Mary (it is a boxing fight lesson).

I use these resources with Year 8 when teaching about James I. This is an introduction to witches, how to spot a witch, and the witch finder general. There is also a worksheet on Hocus Pocus the film, which can be used when watching the DVD towards the end, near Easter.
