This resource has been made to teach GCSE USA. It includes: 1. Hoover vs Roosevelt- who would you vote for? 2. Alphabet Agencies and the New Deal. The Hundred days and Alphabet Agencies (takes about 2 lessons) 3. Opposition to the New Deal 4. Extent of Recovery 5. Second New Deal 6. Roosevelt - success and failures Some of the lessons may need the use of a text book or extra resources/ internet Enjoy and use as your wish!

This resource I have used with my Y11 GCSE class to teach them about the start of the Cold War. The PP work along side the Cold War booklet that I have on sale. You will need to use a textbook for information for some of these lessons. I use the edexcel GCSE international relation text book- but any can be used. 1. Introduction (found idea on TES) 2. Conferences 3. Iron Curtain and secret speeches 4. Truman Doctrine, Marshall Plan, Satellite States and Cominform 5. The Berlin Blockade 6. The Arms Race and the Space Race 7. This is an updated SOW that I use to teach KS3. It teaches about immigration and links very well to citizenship. The lessons include early settlers- refugee crisis today. A good SOW to teach if your school teaches migration through time. Lessons include: 1. What does it mean to be British? 2. Why do people move countries? (create your own country - takes 2 lessons) 3. Early settlers- (assessment question included) 4. Other immigrants that came to Britain- (chance to extend and research the Windrush further) 5. Positives of immigration 6. The media and immigration 7. Refugee Crisis- modern day immigration 8. Assessment lesson with prep sheet and mark scheme Enjoy

I have used this resource with all ability (SEN resources are provided and alternative SEN slides available on PP) This package includes: L1- Introduction to life in 1066- around the room - There are 2 PP as one have more differentiated resources L2- Qualities of a medieval king L3- The 4 contenders- this lesson can be taught however you would like. There is information provided for students to sort/ information can be acted by the students/ teacher can act out reading from the board ( prefer to act it out and get the students to interview. This normally lasts 3 lessons- 1. collecting information, 2. writing the assessment, 3. peer/self assess, (All resources to do this are provided). L4- Battle of Stamford Bridge L5- Harold Godwinson's Army vs William's Army L6- Battle of Hastings. (Takes 2 lessons) You can act out the battle as you go through it L7- Why did William win? This is a resource I have made to teach my current Year 11 class the Cold War content they will need to learn for their exam. This resource can also be used for revision purposes and/or for the students to work through themselves at home. I have PP slides that match every lesson, but they are still in working progress. I have attached a PDF booklet in case it does not open correctly on your computer. The booklet contains: Tick list content Exam layout/ Exam structure grids Content the students need to revise Some basic activities NOP reliability grids The students have really responded well to this resource and have used it instead of taking home textbooks. I actually use this as a 3 exam revision guide, but thought I would sell separately, as other schools may not do all of the same exams as my school. This is a resource I have taught to all ability year 7- (SEN alternatives are provided on the slides ) It includes L1- introduction to early settlers and what people have brought to Britain- students are to sell Stone Henge- I usually complete this task over 2 lessons L2- What does it mean to be British? L3- Create your own country- booklets for students and they are to work in groups to find out the basics to establishing their own country- usually takes 2 lessons L4- Early immigration research- find out about the Romans, Celts, Vikings, Anglo-Saxons L5- Assessment/ essay. SEN resources provided as well for assessment L6- Other immigrants L7- Positives and Negatives immigration has brought L8- Linking to modern day and the immigration problem today The whole point of this topic is to establish what is an immigrant and to conclude that everyone in Britain is an immigrant. This is a set of resources I use with Year 8 in the Summer term. I have had very positive reviews and Year 8 love to finish the year with this. You will need a copy of 'Roots' DVD to play along side these lessons, however you could use some of the lessons without. Lessons: 1. Introduction to the slave triangle and slave trade 2.
