The resources that I am sharing I have used successfully as a Primary Tutor to develop learning, understanding and confidence with individual students. They can also be used for group work. To keep my teaching skills sharp and to continue to develop my understanding of the curriculum, I also work as a Supply Teacher. Before becoming a Tutor I was a Senior Leader in a large Primary school holding the position of Assess Co-ordinator; I have also been a Year Leader and a SENCO.

I created this resource to support a reluctant writer to write with detailed. The student has wonderful ideas when we discuss writing stories and descriptions but frequently does not include these ideas when writing. The prompt encourages the students to quickly build a bank of words, identify the theme for each paragraphs. After writing there is also a prompt to edit and develop their work. I have also used this prompt with a student preparing for GCSE.

I created this resource for one of my individual students who was studying The Titanic as a class project and wanted to know more. He used two copies of the titanic template to create a ‘lift the flap’ information board based on his independent research. He used the writing prompt ‘Survivor’ to write a personal account of the sinking of the Titanic. The writing prompt also includes a useful strategy to encourage students to independently edit and develop their writing.
