A poster on my favourite untranslatable German word: Feierabend. Includes explanations and pictures

Display the numbers so everybody in the class can see them: one number per A4 sheet. To display both number words and colour words, print the numbers on coloured paper and make sure the colour of the sheets for 1-11 match the words at the bottom. Alternatively print in black and white and colour in the numbers or use the version without colour words.

Do you use a lot of PowerPoint presentations and are bored with using the same design all the time? Here are 14 themed backgrounds to bring variety to your presentations. Most of them should also help students with dyslexia who find it easier to read from coloured backgrounds. The themes are mainly the ones covered in language lessons but can be used for a variety of subjects. TES doesn't allow the sharing of Office Themes, so these are saved as presentations. Either use them as they are and add your content or save them as a Office Theme if you want to use them in different presentations. A short paragraph explaining the building and fall of the Berlin wall. Can be used as an introduction to the topic or as a one of lesson on the Berlin Wall (e.g. on the 3rd October). There are three different sheets with varying amounts of vocab help so they can be used from year 10 to year 13. Power point for the first lesson to show students your expectations for careful copying in German lessons. Students are shown a sentence on the whiteboard and asked to copy it carefully. Use the new Pixar film to introduce pets in German with enough material for about 3 lessons. These lessons are based on chapter 2, units 1 and 2, pages 30-34 in “Stimmt 1” but can also be used in combination with Zoom 1 and other text books. It includes picture description and translation tasks, modelled on the new GCSE exams. Topics are pets, genders, description (body/character) and modal verbs.
