Handwritten notes on the recently changed syllabus for IBDP Maths for first exams in 2021 - this is the Applications and Interpretation HL course (A&I HL / AIHL).
It is 112 pages long - 19 on Algebra, 16 on Functions, 26 on Trig/Geometry, 28 on Stats/Probability, 23 on Calculus. So it is far more concise than the ~1000 pages of an HL textbook. It is split into 5 topics, which all have the SL content within them as a subset. There will also be significant overlap with the Analysis & Approaches course. This is the final course of the four that we have in this shop, finished in time for the 2023 May exams. It contains many concepts not touched by the old core courses at all, like graph theory, voronoi diagrams, matrices, phase portraits, etc.
TOPICS:
1 - Algebra
2 - Functions
3 - Trigonometry and Geometry
4 - Statistics and Probability
5 - Calculus
Please ‘follow’ my shop, so you will be notified when other notes become available in the future. Please let me know if you have any feedback or improvements that could be made.
10 pages of neatly handwritten notes on the whole syllabus of Pure Core 1 (AQA). I usually use these to give to my students if they struggle to take notes and concentrate at the same time. It also acts as a handy detailed syllabus/plan of study, as well as just a revision tool for students:
Sections of the notes:
1 - Straight Lines
2 - Quadratics
3 - Surds
4 - Simultaneous Equations
5 - Inequalities
6 - Algebraic Division
7 - Cubic Graphs
8 - Circles
9 - Differentiation
10 - Integration
* - With 2 pages of worked exam solutions to go with regular examples throughout.
Please have a look at some of my free IB notes if you would like to see the style of notes I am offering here. Hopefully there are none, but please let me know if you do see any errors! Also, let me know if there is any interest in other A-Level modules!
Six handwritten A3 posters that each contain one of the six topics that make up the course for IB Maths SL. Posters:
1 - Algebra - Logs, Sequences, Binomial Expansion
2 - Functions - Basics, Quadratics, Transformations, etc
3 - Trigonometry - Unit Circle, Arc/Sector, Trig Graphs, Identities, Triangles
4 - Vectors - Basics, Scalar Product, Angles, Vector Eq, Intersections
5 - Statistics - Basics, Probability Formulae, Averages/Dispersion, C.F., D.R.V., Normal & Binom. Distributions
6 - Calculus - Differentiation, Tangent/Normal, Turning/Inflection Points, Integration, Area/Vol., Kinematics
This has been helpful for me to put up on the walls of my classroom, as well as just to give to the students individually. The content is all there, with examples included in the topics that are less dense than others.
I hope these are useful! Please follow and/or message me if you have any suggestions/requests/errors spotted. And please review if you have time!
Handwritten notes that I made for my HL students on Topic 5 in the IB - Statistics & Probability. These are 10 pages of concise, rich notes, with attention given to the additional content in HL over the SL stats topic (continuous random variables, prob. density functions, poisson distribution).
5.1 - Presentation of Data
5.2 - Probability I
5.3 - Probability II
5.4 - Conditional Probability
5.5 - Discrete random variables, continuous random variables, prob. density functions
5.6 - Binomial distribution, Poisson distribution
5.7 - Normal distribution
If you are an HL teacher (or student) and you found these helpful, please ‘follow’ me, then you will see as soon as I get around to uploading the remaining topics of the HL course.
Handwritten notes that I made for my HL students on the Calculus Option (topic 9) in the IB. These are 23 pages of concise, rich notes, that clarify some of the more complicated aspects of this topic such as Rolle’s theorem or homogeneous differential equations. I use these to inform my teaching, to tell me what I need to cover next, as well as giving the notes to my students so that they can listen properly instead of frantically copying things down from the board. Subtopics:
9.1 - Limits, Squeeze Thm., L’Hôpital’s Rule, Improper Integrals
9.2 - Series and Convergence tests
9.3 - Power Series, Taylor/Maclaurin Series, Error Bounds
9.4 - Continuity, Differentiability, Rolle’s Thm., Mean Value Theorem, Reimann Sums
9.5 - Differential Equations, Separable, Linear, Homogeneous, Euler’s Method, Slope Fields
If you are an HL teacher (or student) and you found these helpful, please ‘follow’ me, then you will see as soon as additional content for the HL course.
These are handwritten notes for the third topic of the new Analysis & Approaches SL course, for first exams in 2021. The HL course will contain this content, with some additional trigonometry and vectors subtopics. There will also be significant overlap with the A&I Topic 3. I wrote and sold notes for the old IB courses, which have been fairly successful, so I am in the process of writing notes for the new courses, from scratch.

Handwritten notes on the new syllabus for IBDP Maths for 2021 - Applications and Interpretations SL (A&I SL). It is 52 pages - 8 on Algebra, 10 on Functions, 8 on Trig, 17 on Statistics, 9 on Calculus.
Each topic is carefully organised, with the subtopic numbers very clearly marked on each page, related to the exact numbers given in the official syllabus document.
The first topic is available for free here, if you want to give it a preview before buying the whole thing.
I have also finished the A&A SL & HL notes as well.
