Understanding Numbers Pack - For children working towards counting out 3 from a larger group.

Designed for use with 2's and 3's but also excellent as a numeracy intervention for reception children. These 11 research based activities and games are ideal for children working towards counting out 3 objects from a larger group. Babies can recognise when small groups increase or decrease and these games tap into this innate ability, linking it to the concept of number. By doing so children begin to understand what numbers are for and so learning to count becomes less abstract and more concrete. This pack contains instructions for 11 different activities and games, some with included printable resources. All based on my Masters research into how children learn to count and tried and tested in the home learning and school environment.
