11X A4 display posters. GCSE AQA Power and Conflict - Ozymandias. Key quotes to display on your classroom walls. There are also two documents attached containing 11 flashcards. They contain the quotes that are printed on the posters. Students can cut out these cards and laminate them for revision practice. You could also get your students to cut out each quote and stick them into their workbooks. They can then critically analyse each quote.

A fun game to get your learners to remember the key plot points in Macbeth! Ideal for low / mid level learners. Instructions Split the students into equal teams. Twenty questions will appear on the interactive whiteboard. The aim of the game is for each group to answer the questions correctly and to solve the riddle that is hidden behind of the boxes. Each team, when it is their turn to go, will pick a question that they want to answer. They will then state the number assigned to this question. If the team gets the question right, then the teacher will click on the box and the box will then disappear. A section of the hidden riddle will then be revealed and the team can then take a guess at solving the riddle. Each question that’s answered correctly is worth 1 point! If the hidden riddle is correctly solved by the team, then this is worth an extra five points! The team with the most points, wins! The great thing about the game is that even if the riddle is solved, learners can continue to answer the questions to gain points!

They can also note down any characters that are featured / mentioned in the novel. This can be useful for when learners need to revise the novel and its key scenes. This is a Functional Skills practice test / activity booklet. To make this fun for my class I based the activities on a conspiracy theory: the flat Earth theory. The first task is a practice test with ten questions ( answers are provided). These are similar questions to what they may be asked on their reading exam. Students will read a source document which includes information on the flat Earth theory. The second activity is a writing task and the learner will be asked to write an article for their collage magazine. They will write an article that informs people about this theory and also will give their own views on the subject. The last activity is a speaking and listening activity, where the learner will prepare and take part in a group debate based on this topic. This is good practice for their upcoming exam.
