Get learners to cut out the cards which feature nine key quotes from the poem. On the back of each card they can write an analysis of the quote or even laminate the cards to use as revision cards. Poetry exam question game. Learners will roll a die and then answer the question that the die lands on. Cube task sheet. Get learners to cut out and glue the cube together and when they have done this, they will roll the cube and complete the nominated question. Questions relate to the poem.

A good refreser / lesson stater on this subject. This is a 22 page PPT on figurative language devices. A short task is also provided on the last slide. This is a Snakes and Ladders game card with a twist. Learners will create their own question cards on a school subject, hobby or even their favourite hobby! 4 different coloured game cards and 2 more with different designs. Print double sided and laminate! Blank cards and answer sheet provided for students to fill out. Instructions: ** Each player will place their counters at the start. Players will roll a die and move that number of spaces on the game board. If a player lands on a ladder, they can climb to the top of it. If a player lands on a snake, they need to slide back down to the bottom. If a player lands on a number which contains an orange star, then they have to pick up a quiz card. If a player answers the question correctly, they move forward two spaces. However, if they answer the question incorrectly, they have to move backwards three spaces.
