This is an 18 page fun task booklet based on the book: Gangsta Granny. I created this booklet for my KS3 English reading class ( but can be used with KS2 students). The booklet contains 15 different tasks that pupils can complete as they read through the book. There are tasks for each of the first fourteen chapters and a book prediction task to complete before reading. Tasks include: Reading book predictions Reading comprehension Descriptive Writing ( locating words classes and language techniques) Word search ‘Scrabble’- rearrange the words Memory game Interrogation: Interviewing Granny Rhyming poem task Mapping journey descriptions Wanted posters Homophone / Capital Letter Task Diary entry Chapter predication Plus many more… Rich Text Format and Word Document files attached for compatibility.

Their task is to fill in the jigsaw piece with things that represent their identity. Think of it as a Coat of Arms: which is a symbolic representation of an individual’s identity and values. They can add things in such as their hobbies, family, friends, pets, favourite books, TV shows, football teams or future goals.

A 13 page PPT Lesson. This lesson aims to prepare learners for their L1/L2 writing exam. As a class, they will discuss a sample question and the tutor will show them a basic answer. The tutor will then show learners how to bulk out their writing: in order the meet the exam’s word count criteria. There is then a practice question ( an article) and tips on how to answer this question. This PPT should cover an hour session.
