I am a long time ESL teacher and KS2/KS3 tutor. I create professional handouts and activities which do not require any alteration, simply print and copy. I make my resources user-friendly, meaning they are easy for pupils to understand, effective at teaching the target skill and entertaining for pupils to use. Where colour is used, the worksheets generally can successfully be printed in black and white unless otherwise stated.

(0)
Revision and extra support for pupils learning about the history of EU expansion and current members of the EU. File consists of cut out cards for pupils to organise into groups according to when each country joined the EU. These can also be used for general geography revision along with a large blank map. This can further lead to discussion looking at the geographical location of countries in accordance with when they joined the EU - discuss with pupils about why and what influenced expansion to these different regions. Cut outs are complemented with a student worksheet, organised alphabetically. The first activity is to practise proper spelling (Look, Cover, Write) of country names. The second row is for pupils to learn the corresponding capital cities. ps. I’m new to selling on TES, so would really appreciate your reviews to hopefully help me sell more! Thanks!

To Be: Present and Past Grammar - Primary/ESL

(0)
3 worksheets to use for low level learners or ESL pupils, to practise the correct present and past forms of ‘be’ 1: completed colour coded table presenting grammar - blue for present, green for past - with gap fill questions for each pronoun on each side of the table. Pupils do not have to decide if the sentence is present or past as all present are organised below the present grammar table, and all past are below the past grammar table 2: same colour coded grammar table as above, but with missing words: pupils must complete the table with the missing words (am, is, are, was, were), then complete 10 gap fill questions based on the table. Present and past are mixed, and some require the pronoun, some the verb to be completed. 3: 2 quizzes - this sheet should be cut in half so that pupils’ answers are not influenced by the other quiz. It can be used as a starter to check ability, or after the first 2 in order to test new skills

SLEEP! Class discussion on the importance of sleep

Presentation which prompts pupils to think about and discuss how much sleep they get and whether it’s enough. It can be a good idea to start this lesson by asking pupils to write on the board the number of hours they got. You can prepare before class a big line with 1 at one end and 12 at the other. Ask pupils to put their number along the line. Discuss the results without singling out anyone. Handout with the same slides if you want them to follow along. Silly pictures to end a more serious class discussion on sleep habits, where pupils must answer 2 questions about each pictures - where and why!
