This is the computer version of an art activity that used to involve colored crayons, black paint and drawing by scratching in the wet paint with the blunt end of a paint brush. Designed for teachers needing to include some computer technologies in their junior and middle school art programs the resource pages can be be used as a student handout or as a reference for guided instruction. The software named in this resource is paint.net (readily available and free ) but the instructions given are easily transferable to any paint or photo-manipulation software with layered transparencies. The zip file included contains a paint.net file that has the colored background and black top layers already created.
