Visual Helpers for Simple Addition and Subtraction - Count the Dots

This 12 page resource for simple addition and subtraction is designed for Stage 1 primary mathematics or older students struggling with basic numeracy. The numbers 2 to 5 are represented with a pattern of dots overlaid. Each number can then be added to or subtracted from by a process of counting the dots up or down. The resource includes instruction pages for each process. The 8 practice sheet templates can be printed and distributed as single use pages or printed and laminated for use with white board markers (I have found this to be a more sustainable use of the resource) There are also 2 templates for addition and subtraction practice using dice throws.
