8 Bingo cards, containing 9 split digraph words on each. Adult to show a picture and help the children to identify the picture then the child looks on their bingo card to see if it contains the word to match the picture. There are a total of 18 different words/pictures and also bingo counters; which can be printed off several times to ensure there are enough for all children.

I’ve created 32 distinct cards, divided across 4 pages with 8 cards on each. Each card features 4 pictures – 3 that share a common theme and 1 that stands out. These versatile cards can serve as worksheets for individual identification and circling of the odd one, or they can be cut and laminated for group discussions. Whether used in small group activities or one-on-one sessions, these cards encourage children to express their thoughts on why they believe a particular image is the odd one out.

Using words from Phase 2 Phonics, I have created, 20 comprehension cards. Each card has one simple sentence and then 2 questions to answer. Child can read the sentence and then adult can read the question to them and the child can write their answers below. These could printed off and used as a quick group activity or laminated and used during child initiated time.
