This resource is a straighforward cover lesson for a natural forms theme. Students are provided with some vetted photographs that they may choose to draw from. This is used in an iPad school so every student has the ability to look at the photos online. To adapt for a non iPad school just print a few copies of the images to have on hand in the lesson.

This is a really fun lesson we usually do around october. We put pumpkins and flowers on the tables and student create some A2 gesural paintings usually in a double lesson. The slides have a continuous line starter activity, some artist links and student examples that we have accumulated over the years.

This resource is aimed at KS4 students as an introduction to watercolour techniques. The resource is designed so that they could work independently discovering each technique as they go. We use google classroom to make sure every student has a copy on their ipad but schools without iPAds couid provide a printed copy of the slides on each table students could share. Every tecnique has its own slide with a full explanation and image of the technique. If you wanted to adapt and improve you could add recordings of each technique on every slide.

This resource is aimed at KS4 students as an introduction to Acrylic techniques. The resource is designed so that they could work independently discovering each technique as they go. We use google classroom to make sure every student has a copy on their ipad but schools without iPAds couid provide a printed copy of the slides on each table students could share. I suggest limiting students to two colours. Every tecnique has its own slide and there is a literacy friendly starter at the beginning. If you wanted to adapt and improve you could add recordings of each technique on every slide.
