A competition that allows pupils to write about there favourite historical period but include their own story, characters etc. It gives licence for the full use of their imagination.

Simple enjoyable task for pupils to summarise the text in the OCR book. Pupils then review various sections of the 1250-1500 section of the course by looking at various trials.

Pupils are given the four information sheets to work with in pairs. They research from these sheets to note down if the Allies were likely to lose or win. Whilst doing this pupils become aware of life on the German Home Front. They then create their own significance pie chart with explanation as to which statement they agree with the most. Good lesson for a year that is often forgotten in First World War studies. A challenging lesson.

This is an activity to be included in a lesson to give pupils a local perspective about the serious nature of a possible Nuclear War. This activity looks at a selection of Cold War-era bombs explosions on Portsmouth.
