Two lessons made for Year 5/6 that takes on an arithmetic style lesson but incorporates challenge through green bubbles, variation and challenge questions taken from the NCETM documents. The lessons focus on the link between operations so that children can identify missing numbers in an incomplete equation before beginning to look at this algebraically.
A range of extracts from various stories and a sorting grid for children to magpie different examples of vocabulary including nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs that they can then include in their own story writing.
A brief PowerPoint that can be used as part of a bigger revision session that focuses on Roman Numerals. Included are some starter questions to recap before identifying the numerals and the rules. This is then followed by practice questions and the example question from the 2017 reasoning paper where there was a numeral question.
A PowerPoint and activity that can be used as a revision lesson for angles of triangles and quadrilaterals. The PowerPoint recaps aspects of angles before practising with the focus shapes before setting children off on the activity.
If required, they could work through a practice sheet for calculating missing angles before moving onto the provided activity that includes questions from White Rose and previous SATs questions.
Two lessons that can be used as introductions or as revision for subject and object and active and passive. The lessons link together with one following on from the other.

A lesson that focuses on being able to identify the subject and object of a sentence. Included is the lesson presentation which includes challenge questions and a variation style question as well as an activity for children to work through and an exit task taken from a previous KS2 GPS test on identifying the subject of the sentence.
A lesson that focuses on active and passive. Included is the PowerPoint with some key recap elements before working on active and passive. This will include identifying the difference, identifying subject, object and verb and changing sentences into active or passive. Also included are green challenge bubbles for children who finish the tasks whilst others are working on them. There is then an activity for children to work through and an exit question taken from a KS2 GPS test.
A lesson for Year 6 Living Things that gets children to practise being able to classify living things into different groups by learning about the Linnaean System of Classification. Included are all the resources required for the lesson including the plan, presentation and activity sheets for children to use. The question sheets are to trim down to then stick in children's books for them to write the answer next to.
A sequence of lessons based on the closing sequence from The Greatest Showman. Included is a PowerPoint that goes through the lessons (not a set lesson but more of a fluid sequence) including tasks and examples of writing with all the supporting resources for the tasks. The writing outcome is based on the first half of the video link given to create three to four paragraphs of writing.
Made with Year 6 in mind but easily adaptable to other year groups.
The first of six lessons that focuses on being able to create a website using Google Sites. Included are all the resources required to help as well as the unit of work planning.
A set of between 4 and 5 lessons that focus on being able to write some diary extracts linked to a journey based on The Firework-Maker's Daughter. Included within the presentation are starters and the key components of the lessons, including picture activities that get children to think of vocabulary for before then writing that part of the extract. Also included are a draft and redraft sheet, draft writing models to use as part of an example model write with children as well as a peer-marking code and fact file for diary writing.
A lesson made for Year 6 as a simple revision of written addition and subtraction. Included is an arithmetic starter, examples to discuss and practice questions to then check understanding before a practice activity and three different challenge activities for those who are confident.
A lesson that focuses on two-digit multiplication as an arithmetic style lesson. There is also a times table starter to focus on links as well as challenge questions from WRM for those that finish. Appropriate for Year 5 or 6.
A double lesson that focuses on being able to read and write numbers into the ten millions. Included is a PowerPoint for the two lessons that includes an arithmetic starter as well as an activity with answers and two challenge activities for those that are confident.
Attached are mini-skill sessions for History. These are 30 minute sessions planned for mixed Year 5/6 children but are easily adaptable to Year 7.
Each week a new session will be added that looks at a particular skill or area of knowledge that is then followed up by a differentiated mini-activity/ assessment activity for children to complete.
1st session - Time - Look at the different ways of judging time, ordering these before then looking at a timeline. Finish by looking at the years that make each Century.
2nd session - Sources - Looking at the difference between primary and secondary sources as well as then briefly looking at bias and getting children to look at example sources.
3rd session - Sources - Analysing sources for validity and also what they literally show us and what we can infer from them.
4th session - Sources - Analysing sources with prompt sheets to help children.
5th session - Chronology - Being able to place events in chronological order on a timeline/ consider when events may have happened.
