A fun game that can be used to revise being able to read coordinates or even as an activity as part of learning to read coordinates. Included is a coordinates grid for themselves and an enemy grid to colour against with both of these being all four quadrants. Also included are pairs of ships for both players, either using the thinner versions or thicker versions.

Quickly find out children's capabilities and the different ways in which they use Google before then being able to use this to inform a unit of work that looks at using search engines effectively.

A PSHE style lesson that focuses on the media, getting children to consider what the media is before considering why they focus on celebrities and the reality of images that are used in different aspects of media. This lesson also gets children to consider whether they can trust everything they read in magazines, newspapers or online and why this is the case. Included are three differentiated activities, slightly between MA and HA, and the presentation for the lesson.

A comprehensive set of resources for anyone to be able to teach a block on writing discussion texts. Planned for Year 5 but very easily adaptable to Year 4 or Year 6. Included are: Full lesson plans for 15/16 lessons, with differentiated activities for children. IWB slides for every lesson that go step by step through the lesson. (N.B. In the shared writing sessions, the example paragraphs just need playing around with to a new topic. Whilst I could have done these, it is more powerful to do them with the class at the time) Resource sheets required for lessons. Word banks for children to use. A self-assessment/ teacher assessment marking sheet that helps children assess as they write and can then be used for a simple marking sheet to pick out positives and targets for children.

A six lesson sequence focussing on the history of Nottingham, particularly with focus to the castle, that has been written for KS2 children with the planning, resources and presentation all included. During the six lessons, children also briefly cover key historical events such as the Third Crusade, the English Civil War and elements of the Industrial Revolution. As well as the lesson resources and planning, there is a Nottingham history knowledge organiser and a diamond 9 activity where children can decide what was most important and least important from events at the castle.

Complete set of planning, slides and worksheets to provide 14 lessons on the four operations, working between written methods, mental methods and also working on the order of operations. This has been written with Year 6 in mind but the resources are easily adaptable for other year groups. The worksheets have written with mastery in mind and so follow the following structure: Worksheet One - Works on practise and fluency Worksheet Two - Practise, fluency and reasoning Worksheet Three - Practise, fluency, reasoning and problem solving Worksheet Four - Practise, fluency, reasoning and problem solving (This is a spare worksheet should children finish problem solving on worksheet three) Differentiation is achieved through self-assessment of own abilities to choose which worksheet they do. The worksheets will be clear in which is LA, MA and HA.
