Two lessons to focus on the physical and human geography of Spain. Lesson 1 (titled Lesson 4) - A lesson that focuses on the physical geography of Spain, including looking at the rivers, seas and terrain. The final three lessons in a sequence of twelve lessons that focuses on researching and writing an information text about the Amazon Rainforest. Included is the unit plan, a KWL sheet that can be used to check and develop understanding, the lesson presentation which includes pink and green bubbles to support and challenge and activities required for the lesson as well as a fact file.

A PowerPoint that gives a brief introduction to the issue of littering. This is useful for an assembly or discussion in class as it focuses on what littering is and some of the significant issues that come about from littering. To finish, there is a link to a video that looks at removing rubbish from canals because of how plastic is making it to the oceans.

A blank map activity that can be used to get children to show where Vikings originate from as well as where they settled. Children can then map out the potential journey the Vikings took to get to the various places through the use of arrows. Included is a map of Europe showing where the Vikings settled and raided to support children.

A lesson that focuses on comparing and contrasting physical and human geographical features between the United Kingdom and Canada. Each slide has a map of Canada and of the U.K for a particular feature with the class then spending time noting down similarities and differences. These can then be discussed as a class before moving on to the next slide.

Fact files for different aspects of Key Stage 2 History. Included within these are a timeline for the period as well as a key vocabulary section for some of the words children may come across during the topic. These are useful for either sticking in books at the start of the topic to refer back to or to enlarge and have on display. Topics will continue to be added.

A revision lesson on being able to punctuate direct speech with an activity sheet included and exit questions taken from KS2 GPS tests.

A simple checklist that is easy for pupils to use. Includes the key features that should be included within an discussion text for children to refer back to during independent writing to self-assess/ for teachers to then use to assess against afterwards.

A lesson based on Year 6 Living Things that focuses on classifying microorganisms.

A lesson that works on direct speech and being able to punctuate it accurately. Included is the lesson presentation with objectives and three differentiated worksheets.

An activity based around -oa for children. Included are cards with all the letters of the alphabet and the oa phoneme where children can then practise seeing what words they can create when blending sounds together. Recommended to print two sets of the letter cards.

3 sets of activities based around simple sentences. For each sheet, there are a number of pictures that have either the subject or the predicate of the sentence included. Children will then complete the sentence by either adding the action or adding the subject of the sentence.

A knowledge organiser for the Shang Dynasty. Included within this is a timeline for the period as well as a key vocabulary section for some of the words children may come across during the topic. These are useful for either sticking in books at the start of the topic to refer back to or to enlarge and have on display.

A lesson about the Ten Commandments that includes the presentation and activities for children to work through.

An introductory lesson to light in Year 6. Initially, children will spend time recapping what they can remember from the previous time they studied light before then moving on to considering what light is and what dark is. Children will then think about different light sources and grouping these as well as thinking about why mirrors and the moon aren’t light sources. This will then move on to considering opaque, transparent and translucent and why we get shadows before finishing with a quick mini-quiz.

A lesson that focuses on being able to translate shapes. Included is a PowerPoint for the lesson that includes an arithmetic starter as well as an activity with answers and four challenge activities for those that are confident.

A lesson made for Year 5/6 that takes on an arithmetic style lesson but incorporates challenge through green bubbles, variation and challenge questions taken from the NCETM documents. The lesson focuses on the link between operations so that children can identify missing numbers in an incomplete equation before beginning to look at this algebraically. Also included is an 11x starter that gets them to then see the inverse.

A simple knowledge organiser for a topic on rainforests. Included is an image of a potential example one, some important vocabulary, a map of the world showing where all the rainforests are and a map showing biodiversity.

A lesson that focuses on prefixes with a specific focus on the prefix un-. Included are all the resources required to run the lesson, including a presentation with examples and questions followed by three differentiated worksheets. This lesson is also useful for dictionary practise as it gets children to identify the definitions of different words.
