A lesson/ two lessons based on discussions on being able to write character descriptions. The lesson is based on the mini story of Geri's game that is shown on Literacy Shed with the key element of the lesson focussing on being able to describe one character as if there are two people there. Included in the presentation is work on adjectives, the link for the clip, questions for children to answer (and answers my children came up with) and a small example of being able to write a description of one character as if he is two different people.

10 practise Arithmetic papers with 20 questions in each to use for practise in Year 6 ahead of the new Key Stage 2 Arithmetic assessment. These questions have been formed by using the exemplar material and other practise papers released. These have then been used to look at the type of questions that appear regularly, with these then being tested regularly throughout the various tests. It will provide children with test practise as well as regularly being able to review what children understand and what they still need to work on.

The focus is being able to find fractions of amounts by using the bar model to support them with an example, six practise questions that link to the sheet and a reasoning style question. This is then followed up with a worksheet that requires children to practise being able to find fractions of amounts. As well as a number of practise questions there are then also reasoning/ problem solving style questions with the answers also included.

A fully resourced weeks worth of lessons focusing on clauses and conjunctions. A useful resource at the start of the year to develop writing skills but can easily be used as a recap tool during the year, or for lessons to be used separately at different points. Included is a full set of lesson PowerPoints which walk through lessons with notes where appropriate, starter activities and activities linked to the learning.
