A reading comprehension pack linked to the book ‘The Nothing to see Here Hotel’.
Included in the pack is a 10 question task for every chapter included in the book which means there are 26 tasks overall, resulting in 260 questions linked to the book. Each chapter includes a range of skills including retrieving, inferring and considering the use of vocabulary and language features. An answer sheet is also included for each chapter.

Year 5 Four Operations - Written Division Lessons with remainders in context (x4)
Two double lessons that focus on securing the concept of written division in Year 5 using a written method and using remainders in context.
The first double lesson focuses on being able to continue practising using written division with 4-digit numbers divided by 1-digit as well as looking at being able to apply remainders in a context where they need to either add another group on or remove the remainder to get the answer.
The second double lesson then continues to provide the chance to practise written division as well as then looking at remainders in terms of money and measurement and being able to create a decimal answer.
Included in both sets of double lessons are a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, discussion points and practices. There is then an activity that includes an answer sheet and challenge questions for anyone that finishes with answers again included.
A multiplication grid is also included to support where necessary.
Year 4 Place Value - Partitioning Numbers Double Lesson
A double lesson for Year 4 that focuses on children being able to partition 3-digit numbers based on their place value.
Included is a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, discussion points and practices. There is then an activity that includes an answer sheet and challenge questions for anyone that finishes with answers again included.

Year 5 Written Multiplication and Division Unit of Work
A 15 lesson unit of work that focuses on being able to complete written multiplication and division.
Included in the 15 lesson sequence is:
Lesson 1 - 3-digit by 1-digit multiplication
Lesson 2 and 3 - 4-digit by 1-digit multiplication
Lesson 4 and 5 - 3-digit by 2-digit multiplication
Lesson 6 and 7 - 4-digit by 2-digit multiplication
Lesson 8 and 9 - 3-digit divided by 1-digit
Lesson 10 and 11 - 4-digit divided by 1-digit
Lesson 12, 13, 14 and 15 - Using written division and applying remainders to the context
Within the lessons, small steps are applied when appropriate such as doing a 4-digit x 1-digit before then doing the same 4-digit number by a 2-digit number that includes the previous 1-digit number.
Most lessons come in double lessons. bar lesson one. Each double lesson includes a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for every lesson, key vocabulary, modelling, discussion and practice before moving onto an independent activity and challenge tasks that stretch over the two lessons. Answer sheets are included for all independent activities and challenge tasks.
The single lesson at the start has all the same features but only has a single lesson PowerPoint.
Also included within each lesson pack is a multiplication square should it be needed for support.
Year 4 Place Value - Negative Numbers Double Lesson
A double lesson for Year 4 Place Value with children working on being able to identify and use negative numbers.
Included in the double lesson is:
A double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, discussion and modelling as well as practice questions.
An independent activity that also includes answers. This can be used over the two lessons.
Challenge questions that require deeper thinking for those that finish the independent activity with answers included.
Year 3 Plants - How Water is Transported Lesson
A lesson aimed at the Year 3 Science unit of Plants. This lesson is the third lesson of a sequence, looking at how water is transported through a plant. The lesson presentation includes a recap from a previous lesson (can easily be omitted if you want this lesson as a one off) before then looking at the important parts of a plant in transporting water and how this happens.
This is then followed by an independent activity that requires children to apply what has been discussed by labelling the parts involved and describing the process. This is then followed by a challenge question to provide the chance to reason. An answer sheet and support sheet are also included. This is then followed up with an experiment to end using white carnations and food colouring to show water transportation.
There is also a copy of the recap task included.
Year 3 Plants - Parts of a Flower Lesson
A lesson aimed at the Year 3 Science unit of Plants. This lesson is the fourth lesson of a sequence, looking at the different parts of a flower. The lesson presentation includes a recap from a previous lesson (can easily be omitted if you want this lesson as a one off) before then looking at the parts of a flower and the different roles they have.
This is then followed by an independent activity that requires children to apply what has been discussed by labelling the parts of a flower and matching parts of a flower to a description of what they do. This is then followed by a challenge question to provide the chance to reason. An answer sheet and support sheet are also included.

A double lesson for Year 4 Place Value with children working on being able to round to the nearest 1000.

Continents and Oceans of the World Lesson
A fully-resourced lesson that focuses on being able to name and locate the continents of the world and the oceans.
Included is:
A presentation that introduces the different continents and oceans, involving some discussion around these, questions and some facts around continents.
An activity that links to the presentation with questions and a map task for naming the oceans and continents. There is also a challenge question for those that finish. An answer sheet is also included for the activity.
A support sheet for the activity which is a map with the continents and oceans named.
This lesson can be used in either KS1 or 2 with a focus on teaching continents and oceans for the first time or coming back to it at the start of KS2.
Equator, Hemispheres and Tropics Lesson
An introductory lesson to the Equator, hemispheres and tropics, suitable for either Year 2 or lower KS2.
Included in the lesson is:
A presentation for the lesson that includes maps that highlight the different areas and some information for discussion, as well as a recap task from a previous lesson focusing on continents and oceans. The recap task is also included as part of the lesson pack with an answer sheet but can easily be ignored for this lesson to stand alone.
An activity that requires children to label the various aspects discussed as well as questions and a challenge question linked to the lesson. An answer sheet is also included for this.
A support sheet that provides a labelled version of the map bar hemispheres.
Countries and Continents Geography Lesson
A lesson that focuses on being able to look at different countries and the continent they are part of.
Included in the lesson is:
A lesson presentation that includes a world map to discuss as well as some questions about which continent different countries are in.
A recap task (this lesson is the eighth in a sequence having focused on continents, oceans, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, Antarctica and Europe) which can be used or ignored as the lesson can stand alone. An answer sheet is also included for the recap task.
An independent activity that includes finding countries for different continents and naming which continent certain countries are in. There is also a challenge question to extend understanding as well as a task to find the capital city of different countries. An answer sheet is also included for this alongside a world map to support.
Number Bonds to 10
A 200 page presentation with a question per page focusing on number bonds to 10.
These are presented in a number of different ways, including counting colour counters and saying how many there are altogether, filling in missing numbers on different part-whole models, writing addition and subtraction facts for the numbers given, filling in missing numbers in part-part-whole models and even linking number bonds to 10 to solve number bonds to 100 with multiples of 10.
These can be used either as questions to do as a class or to print and get children to work through at different points.
Tens and Ones
A presentation with 200 different questions that can be used when working on tens and ones.
These can be used either as questions to do as a class or to print and get children to work through at different points.
Within the presentation, there are representations using Base 10, numerical representations and sentences. This includes saying how many tens and ones there are before saying what the number is, looking at the whole number to say how many tens and ones there are and saying what a missing value is, both with tens and ones and other partitions e.g. 92 = 50 and 42.
Back to School Activities
A range of activities that can be used as part of welcoming a new class in.
Included is:
An all about me activity sheet - there are two versions of this with one being a colour background and one being plain white if needed for printing.
A someone who has/ can activity - A bingo style activity of trying to find a different individual for each box of what they have done, can do or have. This again comes with a colour background or white background for printing purposes.
A birthday activity - Each month is included with children needing to find out other birthdays in the class to record appropriately in each month.
Favourite activity, pet and snacks activities - These are three different data collection activities that provide the opportunity to find out favourite pets, snacks and activities, collecting this data as a tally chart. This is then followed up with a bar chart activity where children can practise applying the data to a graphic representation.
