FRENCH Adjectives - Les Adjectifs (les contraires) - Worksheets

An exciting and fun way to introduce a range of adjectives, using opposite words in French. I have given both mas/fem adjectives where needed. There is a colour matching activity. Follow-on work includes translating and a gap-fill activity. Also included are flashcards. We made up actions for all of adjectives. I backed and laminated one set of words in one colour card and the other set in a different colour. I placed one set onto the whiteboard and from the muddled set students came to match the opposite words correctly. Using a timer made it more challenging. The kids loved it and with lots of practice they were soon able to start using these adjectives in sentences. Revises vocabulary for: Clothes age name family members animals weather everyday objects L/O To be able to learn 20 adjectives in French and use them in their writing. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’ THERE APPEARS TO BE A SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH THE LINE SPACING ON THE FIRST TWO WORKSHEETS, BUT I HAVE DOWNLOADED THEM AND THEY PRINT PERFECTLY.

A selection of worksheets to practise key ‘seaside’ vocabulary. I took the opportunity here to introduce the expression ‘il y a’ so that children can learn how to describe a picture. I have also included a comprehension activity which also focuses on prepositions and colour agreement. There is a question worksheet that follows. I thought this was an ideal activity for the start of the school year. So many children will have been to a beach and now they will be able to talk about their experience in FRENCH!! If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’
