Dans une rue anglaise
A simple but longer text describing an English street scene. Uses prepositions, colours, number, age, name, weather and time. Questions include: where is? how many? who? what? Before reading the text, talk about the street scene. What do they see. Where are things located. What colour, how many etc. Please comment if you use this worksheet. Using negatives
Pupils are given a sentence and have to change it into a negative one. Use of j'ai, je suis, and il y a.Space has been left for pupils to add their own sentences. Feedback as to how successful this worksheet was, would be much appreciated.

Les vacances à Paris
A scene in Paris showing children having their photo taken by the Eiffel Tower. Aim of the excercise to is get children 'talking&'. Their L/O is to see how many sentences they can find which describes something in the picture. I have given some examples but the possibilities are endless. ~Revises: prepositions/il y a/verbs/age/name/clothes/weather. Ideal for partner work. Feedback is always most welcome.
C'est l'halloween
Using a Halloween theme, a fun way to introduce numbers in French to 5, to very young children and related vocabulary. Traces numbers and number names so reinforces number and letter formation and a box in which children fill with the correct answer. If you use this, please spare a moment to comment. Où est Père Noël?
Worksheets on a Christmas theme using the prepositions: behind, in front of, near to, inbetween, under and next to. Could be used to revise propositions and Christmas vocabulary. For L/A children I have made gap-fill worksheets where just the proposition word is missing As my students have learnt propositions and Christmas Vocabulary I though this was a good way of testing what they remember. KS3 French - Rhyming Rap
A catchy rhyming rap., which revises known phrases and perhaps introduces new vocabulary. I have included the sound file from which to hear the beat and rhythm. Click on the sound file entitled - 'Une et une&'. It is the third one on the list. I have slightly changed some of the words, so as to put my own stamp on it. Kids should enjoy chanting the lyrics. You will find two copies. One in colour for the teachers and a blank one for the children to draw their own images. Please take a moment to comment. Your feedback is really appreciated.
Ma Ville - matching card game
Pictures of buildings and places you might find in any town. Once children have been introduced to the key vocab they will enjoy playing this game. Pupils have to turn over two matching cards and name whatever is showing on the cards to win them. This activity could be extended further whereby pupils have to say the phrase 'Dans ma ville il y a .....' or if the town doesn&'t have whatever is on the card they have to say &';Dans ma ville il n'y a pas ....&'. If you print off more of these cards, the game could double up for the game of snap. Enjoy and have fun!!
Brico - Bonhomme de Neige
Brico Scarabée, is how the French refer to our 'Beetle Drive&' game. (Brico meaning DIY.) So following the same idea, here is a &';DIY Snowman' to complete. Children will have fun as they practise names for body parts and facial features. When the snowman is completed he should have: a body, a head, 2 eyes, a nose, a mouth, 2 arms, a hat and 3 buttons. Making any language a game and enjoyable is what it&'s all about. Joyeux Noël à tous...

A selection of activities to practice Halloween words in French. There is a vocabulary worksheet to label images. There is a worksheet to practice the expression ‘Il y a…’ saying how many objects there are. There is a worksheet to say where the ghost is, which revises the expression ‘Il y a …’ and items of furniture. There is also a picture to colour, which enhances reading skills and also revises colours. To complete the Halloween activities there is a wordsearch and a completed TC. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’
Although Halloween is a feminine noun, Joyeux Halloween is more commonly used.
