I am always looking for ideas to consolidate topics which my students have learnt. This simple activity recaps and revises: name/age/nationality/hair/colour/clothes/opinions/propositions/verbs. Children are given the picture and have to find as many sentences as poss. which describe something in the picture. I have included a sample of sentences to give an idea. Possibilities are endless. Children have to see how many of those sentences they can find. Stickers for those who find different ones and to the person who finds the most. Ideal for pair work. Feedback is always valued.
Qu'est-ce que Hector fait pour aider à la maison
A longer piece of comprehension revising household chores. Focuses on subject and direct object pronouns and time expressions. Able students can produce their own writing about Hector’s help around the the home. Or there are questions to answer after reading all about Hector the hardworking and very helpful dog.
Vrai ou Faux
A tick box fill in worksheet to say whether or not statements are correct. Those statements which are incorrect have to be written out correctly. I work with 8/9 years old who completed it quite easily. Your feed-back of how well it worked for you would be greatly appreciated. Statements can obviously be changed to fit whatever children have learnt.

A simple but longer piece of comprehension on the theme of the New Year. Find out all about a young girl called Élodie. How old she is, where she’s from, how many languages she speaks and what her favourite hobby is. Revises; number, colour, animals, hobbies, languages, age, weather and a various irregular verbs.
