This is a version, in French, of the popular ‘12 Days of Christmas’ song that I made up. Find out what was sent to a friend and spot the alliterations. Students will have fun working out new vocabulary and singing along to the classic tune that everyone knows. I had as much fun making up the song as my students had singing it. They learnt it quickly and loved it!! I have included a tree outline. More able students working in groups could make up their own song and draw in the pictures, others could draw the images from this song. FRENCH - My daily Routine and Time Games
Board games using reflexive verbs to describe your daily routine. Times have also been added, so as to revise 'À Quel heure...?' Please see worksheet for rules as these differ from the regular snakes and ladders game. Playing any game is a fun way to practice and reinforce new vocabulary. The second game is based on the game show Blockbusters where the aim is to complete a line of 5 connecting hexagonal shapes either from side to side or from top to bottom. Students have to name the reflexive verb with a subject or a time or both to gain control of the shape. Both games can be used for any foreign language. Verbs - Memory Game
Cards need to be printed out twice. I have included 27 verbs. The memory game can be played in several ways. To begin with place cards spread out face down on a table. Pupils turn over 2 at a time. They have to say the infinitive of the verb showing on the card. When they find two that match, they win them. Next when a card is turned over, pupils have to say the je, tu, il, elle form of the verb. This could then be extended to include nous, vous and ils and elles. A further game could be that pupils have to use the verb in a full sentence.

French School Subjects - board game
Snakes and ladder game to reinforce school subjects/days of the week/time and the phrase ‘J’étudie…’. More able students could also give opinions on the subjects which they land on. Rules for playing the game differ slightly to those of regular snakes and ladders. Back onto card and laminate to make the game more durable. I have also added a 2nd game. The idea with this one is to use the expressions: I like/love/hate/don’t like. 2ticks=I love, 1tick=I like, 2crosses=I hate and 1 cross=I don’t like. Feedback is always very welcome.
