Hi! I currently work in London as a Deputy Headteacher. I love all things teaching and learning! I am extremely passionate about education and find researching and creating new strategies and ideas exciting. The world of teaching and leading in England is highly stressful and it's up to all of us to look after each other's well-being...I hope my resources save you some precious time.

Stories by the same author. Different sentences/phrases typed up from Julia Donaldson books: A squash and a squeeze, Sharing a shell and Follow the Swallow.
My class really enjoyed spliting them into groups. SOme chose 'people, animal, object&' others chose to group sentences according to punctuation or language.
They were allowed to chose whether to use a venn diagram (hoops on floor) or large carroll diagrams I made up.
I used this as a start for thinking about similarities and differences in books by the same author.
A fun Christmas pack for the end of the Autumn term. The pack included exciting English and Maths activities. Guided your pupils through the activities or give them the booklet to work through independently while you take displays down or finish last minute jobs!

Terrorism needs to be addressed from an early age so pupils understand why it is wrong and how it can ruin lives.
This is a gentle introduction into thinking about the evil of terror. There is a poem, comprehension and a scaffold for pupils to write their own poem.

69 word flashcards covering all sounds from Phase 2 in Letters and Sounds. Cut out and laminate the sounds and you have a great, durable set of words to complement the teaching of phonics.
These word flashcards can be used for so many things. They can be used in the teaching of phonics but can also be given to pupils to work independently on many different activities. There are 3 words for each sound and the sound is highlighted in green. Most words are CVC and easy to sound out so that they can be accessed by pupils independently. Also a super resource to aid phonic interventions.
One key element in the teaching of phonics is to revisit previous sounds taught - using these flashcards is a great way to do just that! Lots of games can be played using flashcards, including, 'your pile, my pile'.
Any questions, please just ask! And please check out my other resources...
