As my students love quizzes, I have created some linked with the topics seen in class. It will be a good way to test their cultural and vocab knowledge whilst having fun! For some quizzes, I have included statistics. Because the answers are provided, students can just mark their work. I have thought of different ways to maximise the use of these worksheets. Each quiz can be projected on the board and done as a whole class activity. Some of the questions can also be used as a starter or with your tutor group. I will probably print out some copies and set up a group competition. Alternatively, this will be a treat when students have done enough work during the lesson or at the end of term. Because the questions are in English, this can be done with any year group. There are 6 quizzes (69 questions overall) on the following topics: la France Paris le sport la nourriture les loisirs l’éducation

French colouring

(1)
Differentiated colouring sheets to use throughout the year. Two versions of the same design: colour by number and colour accordingly, the second version requiring students to know some vocabulary (they could also use a dictionary). As the first page introduces colours, there is only one version. These sheets would be a fun way to complete a module as they make references to various topics: clothes, school equipment, bedroom furniture, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day… They could also be used at the end of term or simply as a treat! To save on printing, each page has the same picture twice. Overall, there are 10 different designs.
