In this resource file, you will find a worksheet for students to discover the French gastronomy: la gastronomie française. To complete this activity, students will need access to the Internet. The resource is aimed at A Level students: everything is written in French. The worksheet provides a link/ QR code, which will direct students to an interactive map of France. Students can click on each of the 13 regions to read about culinary specialties for that particular region. The pop-up window gives pictures and information about 2 French dishes and a type of cheese. Instructions: Using the interactive map, students can complete the worksheet (3 pages). There are 4 activities on the worksheet with increasing levels of difficulty. Activity 1: Complète la carte de la France métropolitaine avec le nom des 13 régions Activity 2: Part 1: Relie les spécialités culinaires à la région qui correspond Part 2: Pour chaque région, écris le nom d’un fromage typique et ajoute si le fromage est fabriqué à partir de lait de vache, de brebis ou de chèvre Activity 3: Réponds aux questions en français Extra activity:Fais des recherches en ligne sur les spécialités gastronomiques suivantes et écris des informations sur la région d’origine et les ingrédients. The worksheet and its version with answers are available in .pdf and editable .docx formats. Please note that the interactive map is not editable however!
