A collection of French colloquial expressions, ideal for lesson starters. (22 slides) Each slide contains an expression, an example of how to use it (related to GCSE topics) and a picture for pupils to try to guess its meaning. The translation of the expression also pops up. These slides can be used as displays or in the lesson to challenge higher ability pupils and encourage them to use higher level language in their writing or speaking work. These resources follow the AQA GCSE Higher textbook for the new GCSE curriculum. They are designed to allow challenge and support when necessary and contain self assessment and peer assessment. They were designed for students to work in booklets every week and built up a portfolio over time.

Can be used as homework or independent revision in class.
