An A-Z resource booklet to you however you wish with your children. I sent one of these home with any more able children to record any new or interesting vocabulary that they encountered within books they read at home. Consists of a cover page and then a page for each letter of the alphabet for the children to record the new words and their meaning.

These resources include a design sheet for children to use in the construction area, editable construction area labels which can be used to label boxes/baskets. Please note, the font I have used isn’t one that comes with microsoft word. If you would like to use this font it can be downloaded from dafont.com and is called ‘Typerwriter hand’. The ‘work in progress’ and ‘under construction’ signs can be stuck to folded pieces of card for the children to place next to any unfinished makes within the construction area.

A set of construction area headings. They are titled ‘research it’, ‘design it’, ‘build it’ ‘save it’ and photograph it. The idea is that these cards will help you to designate certain spaces within your construction area for the different aspects of the designing and building of different models and structures. Only available in PDF form as they were made on canva- they cannot be edited to be a different font/size/colour etc. Also comes with design sheet templates which can also be used for children to draw their designs on before building. Again this is in PDF format only.

Each area of my classroom is labelled with these circle letter cards. I print them out onto kraft card to give them a more ‘natural’ look. The set includes lettering for: maths area storytelling phonics area vocabulary our sounds books we have read They come as pdfs if you want to keep them exactly as they are but also as editable versions if you want to edit the size/font/letter etc.

I have made them specifically to tie in with the KS1 art curriculum. Perfect to laminate, hole punch the corner and attach to a key ring as a visual guide for the art table or creative area. I will be hanging mine on the wall next to my bottles of red, blue, yellow, black and white paint.

A set of construction area cards for each season! I have put mine onto keyrings and laminated as shown in the pictures and will put them into the construction area depending on the season. The download is in a4 size per page but they can easily be reduced to a5 or increased to a3 dependent upon your classroom needs. The cards contain different objects e.g. Santa’s sleigh, pumpkin, combine harvester, as well as objects linked to events e.g. a field of poppies for Remebrance/ a bee hive for World Bee Day. They are matched in style to my other construction card resources in my TES shop.

A full set of all of the sounds taught in Year 1- we follow the Sounds Write programme so I have made these to fit in with that scheme however they can be adapted for any scheme/sound family etc. Each card strip displays all of the sounds within a unit with a word in brackets to demonstrate use of the sound e.g. ay (hay), er (herb), igh (fight) etc. Perfect for aiding children with their independence in being able to select which spelling they think they need for a particular sound. Each strip shows all of the sounds taught in a particular unit along with a word in brackets to demonstrate the use of that spelling of the sound e.g. a (apron), ey (prey) a-e (mane) etc. Perfect to aid children in their independence at selecting the correct spelling of a sound. I have put mine onto a keyring and put copies on each table for the children to refer to. Comes as a pdf and word document in the download.
