A phonics / alphabet resource for EYFS and KS1. Page 1 shows a colouring sheet where children colour in the pictures and trace the letters to make the initial sounds. Extend this activity for more able children by asking them to colour in the pictures and write the sounds as they appear in the alphabet - so starting with apple and finishing with zebra. Page 2 shows a grid with all the pictures on in alphabetical order. Children can colour this in, write the letters, cut and match to the correct numbers of the alphabet. They can jumble up the letter cards and then put them into alphabetical order. Page 3 shows a grid with all of the numbers from 1 to 26. Children cut, order and match to the cards with pictures and letters of the alphabet.
