Here is a novel way for children to work on their phonics and CVC word making skills. There are 5 worksheets each showing a different vowel as the middle sound. Children make as many words as they can and write the letters in the targets. An example is done for them on each page. They may want to colour the targets as they make their words. An extra challenge is to use the same colour for any letters used more than once e.g. p as in pat is yellow in the first target, so p thereafter should be yellow.
