A set of resources to support children with their fine motor and handwriting skills. Suitable for SEND pupils, EYFS and KS1. There are 4 designs of worksheets each in colour and black and white. The colour ones are really useful for laminating and putting in the writing corner and then they can be reused. Add dry markers. The black and white sheets are a copy of the colour versions. Children can use pencils or markers to trace over the dotted lines to complete the pictures. The shapes include circles, squares, rectangles and triangles.

A collection of resources for your early years topics on Wind / Air or Science. Activity Ideas Firstly, there is a colour poster to discuss with the children. They find out that Air helps to move things. Stong winds may be needed to help move heavier objects. They can decide if they could create enough wind to move objects like the hand fan or blow into objects like the whistle to make sound, or the bubble wand to make bubbles. There are small cards to cut out which correspond to the poster for children to match or talk about. There is a colouring sheet and 2 kite sheets - one colour and one black and white. Children can copy the colour patterns or make up their own. Practical Ideas Children could experiment with blowing into their hands or blowing feathers on a table to move them. Make bubbles or use ready made ones for outdoor or indoor fun. Make and fly kites. Make paper planes and fly. Blow up balloons and let go. With the inhaler, you could explain how this is used - there may be a child with asthma who could help to explain. Talk about the lungs here and their importance.

Sheets: 1- Children cut out the cards and count and order the colour dwarfs from 1 to 7. 2 - Shows the colour dwarfs and their names. Children can write the names underneath or write a word or phrase to describe them. 3 - Shows black and white dwarfs for children to write the names underneath and colour. They then draw their favourite dwarf and say why it is their favourite. 4 -Shows cards with the names of the dwarfs. Chidren can draw the dwarfs, cut and paste from a previous sheet or write about them with a word or phrase. Link this resource with feelings and children could also draw feeling faces to illustrate the dwarfs.
