Children will have fun with this number activity. They can work individually or with partners. There is a question sheet which can be read to the children, or they can read it themselves and answer the questions. Page 1 shows black and white ice creams with numbers on them. Page 2 is the question sheet asking children to think, observe, count, add and subtract, find odd numbers, as well as use a colour code. Page 3 is the ice cream template from page 1 but there are no numbers. Children fill in their own numbers. Numbers are within 10 but these can be differentiated and other questions added accordingly. Extend by asking children to carry out a favourite ice cream survey.
